Unit

Unit is a combination or merger of two or more financial instruments/assets into one for sale.


In other words, a unit is a financial product/asset that can be traded.

An example of a unit in the financial world is a Unit Linked Insurance that we may have heard of which is buying life insurance together with investment at the same time. or Unit Trust that we may have heard of such as Rental Property Trust which will be to combine several office buildings for rent as assets of the REIT. Then, offered as investment units to sell to investors with a return in dividend.
